Activated Mentoring & DES providers
For Disability Employment Service providers, partnering with Activated Mentoring means accessing a pool of candidates who are ready for work and are more likely to surpass the crucial employment milestones of 13 weeks, 26 weeks, and 52 weeks.
This is achieved with no out-of-pocket expense for our DES partners, making it a cost-effective solution that value adds their service offerings and the employment outcomes for their clients.
Our Approach
The Activated Mentoring program acts to triage and upskill our clients prior to their engagement with the DES system - meticulously assessing their needs, strengths, and aspirations.
While the program is undertaken primarily in the hospitality sector, its broader aim is to enhance our clients' self-esteem and their ability to engage in a teams and with their communities.
It is vital that these base level skills are developed first, preparing potential clients to enter DES employment programs and explore work opportunities across a broad array of sectors.
Our work in vocational preparation ensures that by the time our candidates are ready to enter your employment programs, they are not just participants; they are engaged, motivated, and resilient individuals ready and excited to work!
"Snap-on" AM sessions pre-DES for your Employers
While DES systems and programs offer an excellent path for employers to explore inclusive practices by providing support and wage subsidies for workers with special needs, their complexity can sometimes hinder employer engagement.
The Activated Mentoring Program offers a package for DES providers which provides 6 x 90-minute trial work sessions witha prospective employer, providing a 'soft landing' for both the employee and the employer before the formal commencement of DES-supported employment. This approach allows both parties to build relationships and assess the employee's capacity in the role before committment.
This DES integrated program pays employers $60 per 90-minute session ($360 for the 6-session work trials) and requires a lesser commitment from the employer than formal DES. This financial incentive allows employers to evaluate the potential of the prospective worker onsite, before making a greater commitment to DES-supported employment.
These pre-DES trial sessions are supported by our state-of-the-art reporting system, providing real-time feedback to the employer, the employee, and the DES provider at the end of every session. At the end of the Work-trial, a comprehensive report reflecting the success of all activities undertaken by the employee is provided, serving as an invaluable guide for the employee, the employer, and the DES provider, radically increasing the success for all parties.

We partner in a region by region fashion, inviting Disability Employment Service Providers in each region to create an ecology with us for that region.
Our regional partnership approach includes co-branded marketing, first right of refusal to Activated Mentoring vocational positions with partner businesses, and the commitment to funnel of our job-ready graduates directly into your employment programs.
This synergy not only enhances service offerings for DES providers but also increases the likelihood of candidates achieving long-term employment milestones.
