What is The Foundations for Families™ Program?
Our All-family model is a structured, soft-handed personal development framework delivered by the family, for all of the family, funded without labour costs by the client's NDIS supports.
It helps not only the participant, but all family members to:
- clarify what matters most to each
- ensure that the needs of all are valued
- identify blockers that slow progress
- strengthen communication and shared routine
- build self-advocacy and shared understanding
- take small, achievable steps toward real positive change for all family members
This model is especially helpful where families are carrying a heavy load and not only the client, but non-impacted family members begin to lose their voice.
A balanced family ecology which values the needs of all members will provide the best environment to support those navigating challenges to gain greater indepedence.
The Challenge:
Many participants are supported by a network of parents, siblings, partners, carers, and support workers. When that network is carrying a heavy load, navigating complex needs, or feeling overwhelmed, progress can become harder. Communication can become reactive, shared routines can weaken, and non-impacted family members may begin to lose their voice.
When the wider family ecology is stretched or out of alignment, even well-intentioned support can struggle to create lasting change for the participant.

Foundations for Families™ supports the participant by supporting the family around them. It provides a calm, structured way for every family member to be heard, reflect on what they need to be at their best, and share responsibility for sustainable change — while keeping the participant’s goals at the centre.
The goal is not to “fix” families, but to strengthen the enstire family environment so the participant - and all other family members - can thrive.
